Psychosocial Evaluations for Immigration Purposes

is a comprehensive assessment conducted by a licensed mental health professional to support an individual’s immigration case. It evaluates the psychological, emotional, social, and sometimes physical impact that immigration-related issues have on the individual or their family members.

The goal is to provide objective, clinical insight to immigration officials to better understand your situation. We work the following cases:

  • T-Visa- To evaluate the psychological effects of trafficking.
  • U-Visa and VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) – To assess and document the psychological impact of domestic violence, abuse, or serious crimes.
  • Asylum- To document trauma or persecution in the applicant’s home country.
  • Extreme Hardship Waivers- To show that a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident would suffer extreme emotional or psychological hardship if the applicant were denied entry or deported.

“The therapists at Sanos Counseling are truly compassionate and understanding. They helped me navigate a difficult time in my life and provided me with the tools to move forward. I highly recommend their services.”
